Arrival in Summer
In the summer, you can reach the Golmerhaus either by taking the Golmerbahn (please check the operating hours), on foot, or by car.
Travel by Golmerbahn during operating hours:
to the Matschwitz midway station, followed by a 20-minute hike uphill
or
to the Grüneck mountain station, followed by a 50-minute hike downhill
On foot from the Latschau Reservoir – (1.5 to 2 hours)
Traveling by car:
Only four-wheel-drive vehicles (capable of handling a 10% gradient) driven by an experienced driver are permitted to drive to the Golmerhaus.
A maximum of two vehicles will be granted permission to drive.
Please park any additional cars in the overnight parking lots at the Vandans valley station or at the Latschau mid-station (free of charge) near the reservoir.
Check-in / out
On the day of your arrival, the house will be available to you starting around 3:00 p.m.; on the day of your departure, please vacate the house by 10:00 a.m.
Weekly bookings with check-in and check-out on Sundays are preferred year-round.
Shorter stays are available for an additional fee upon request!
Traveling in Winter – Overnight Parking
In winter, the only way to reach the Golmerhaus is by the Golmerbahn—please note the last uphill departure.
There is plenty of free overnight parking available for your cars at the Vandans valley station or at the Latschau mid-station (free of charge) near the reservoir.
Luggage and passenger transport via snowcat and gondola
The Golmerbahn is happy to transport your luggage. The transport gondola comfortably takes up to 10 people and their luggage to the Golmerhaus.
The snowcat departs from the Berggasthof Grüneck.
The choice is yours… You can go skiing on your arrival day and stop by the Golmerhaus directly to check in. Your room will be ready for you starting around 3:00 p.m. Or you can arrive with your luggage on the snowcat; in that case, we’ll be waiting for you at the Golmerhaus starting around 4:30 p.m. On your departure day, the snowcat will arrive around 8:00 a.m. to pick up your luggage. You can enjoy breakfast in peace until 10:00 a.m. and then vacate the house; however, please clear the upper floor by 8:00 a.m.
Please arrange your luggage and/or passenger transport directly with the Golmerbahn (Vorarlberger Illwerke, phone 0043-5556-701).
You are asked to load and unload your luggage yourself.
The bill is to be paid in cash directly to the snowcat driver.
